INDIA

Our work inside India continues to develop at a rapid pace, and we praise the Lord for the great work He is doing there!  In addition to current exploratory work in one of India’s largest cities, Hyderabad, Drop Inn Ministries continues to work in two different areas of the country.  In the east, we remain dedicated in our support of families and villages devastated by the tsunami, as well as our involvement in both building and supporting a local orphanage there.

In the town of Rayagada, Orissa we are supporting a native missionary couple who run a school and orphanage for both orphans and children from very poor families.  The children here are coming from area villages that offer no opportunity for education.  The children stay at the orphanage all year round  and receive an education, three meals a day and clothing as needed.  Because of their Christian faith and willingness to educate native children in a Christian school, the couple we support have endured various forms of persecution and harassment.

NEPAL

Drop Inn Ministries is pursuing their burden for the world’s most unreached nations.  These nations primarily lie in the region of the world referred to as the 10/40 Window, which is defined as, “Those regions of the eastern hemisphere, plus the European and African part of the western hemisphere, located between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator.”  In 1990, this region of the world was said to have the highest level of socioeconomic challenges and the least access to the Christian message and Christian resources on the planet.  It is in this region of the world where the greatest concentration of unreached people groups are living.

The nation of Nepal, despite its breathtaking beauty and Himalayan culture, falls inside the 10/40 Window, and is home to approximately 30 million people, of which a staggering 93% are considered unreached.  Operation World shares, “There is a church planted in every one of the 75 districts of Nepal, and there are at least some believers in almost every people and caste group,” which is an answer to prayer and should-be encouragement to those of us living in obedience to the Great Commission.  Drop Inn Ministries is partnering with an indigenous missionary/church planter.  Our outreach in this nation is new and in the development stages, but we praise the Lord for the open doors He’s given and we look forward to all that He will accomplish here!

CAMBODIA

In Cambodia, we support a survivor of “the killing fields” during the time of transition in 1975 when Khmer Rouge took over the country.  Thirteen members of our partner’s family were brutally murdered and severely wounded, but he managed escape by hiding under bodies of his deceased family.  It was then that he fled to Canada, but soon after, he returned to his home land to offer forgiveness and plant churches and local leaders.  Since his return to Cambodia, our partner has met with and ministered to the individuals responsible for the death of his family.  Currently, he works tirelessly in Siem Reap with church and community projects to bring Hope, Help and Healing to that recovering nation.

BANGLADESH

Bangladesh is another country inside the 10/40 Window with particular importance to the Drop Inn Community.  With personal ties and family affiliations in this Islamic nation, Drop Inn Ministries has a pure and true burden for the people of Bangladesh.  Due to its location and Muslim-dominated population, outreach within these borders is difficult.  Naturally, work inside this nation will be sensitive in nature, strategic and dependent upon prayer and the moving of the Holy Spirit.  This excites us as we prepare to watch the Lord have His way here.

Our biggest need and our greatest request, is your prayer.  Please come alongside us in petitioning the Lord of the Harvest to send Labourers to this desperate land.  Join us before the throne of God, pleading for the estimated 165 millions souls living here, enslaved to the legalistic religion of Islam.
